Seriously, can we please talk about how fucking amazing an actress Helena Bonham Carter is? First of all, she’s brilliant in everything she does, no matter if the role calls for crazy (Sweeney Todd/Harry Potter) or proud and noble (The King’s Speech). But when I was watching this, I just thought it had to be Emma Watson wearing a Bellatrix mask. Just look at her facial expressions, delicate and hesitant, how precisely they mimic those of Watson’s Hermione, what an amazing job she does looking deeply uncomfotable in someone else’s skin. Even when Hermione tries to be Bellatrix more convincingly, by being a bit haughty, it still looks like Emma Watson playing Hermione playing Bellatrix. When in fact it is HBC playing Emma Watson playing Hermione playing Bellatrix.
And you. can’t. tell. the. difference. at. all.
This sequence has got to be one of the most exceptional bits of acting in the entire movie franchise. I was just blown away.
The three actors from the Ministry of Magic sequence doing the same thing were great as well. But I just feel as though this is the most dead-on perfect performance ever given. Ever.

-This was pretty much me last night. My boyfriend took me, even though he doesn’t know anything about Harry Potter at all… but it was ok, because he knew how important it was to me, and we saw the 3D version! It was our first experience with a 3D movie! He didn’t have a clue as to what to do with me, since I was already sniffling and freaking out as soon as it started…
